Changes to my study programme

 Hello everyone and welcome to another blog of the week, today's topic is 

"Changes to my study program".

Well as I told you in one of my previous blogs I study architecture, it is a very nice career the truth, I liked it a lot even more than I expected but as every career has its pros and cons. Today I will tell you what I would like to improve my career or change it completely.

On the one hand, the subjects are quite complete but I feel that they lack much more depth in certain topics, at least in the first year where many students come convinced that they will be taught from the basics, but many times this is not the case. I don't know how to draw very well and I think that at least in the workshop, which is where they make us draw the most, they should teach us from the basics but they don't, or the fact that they don't teach us how to do a correct planimetry, they only show us examples. I would like them to give us some kind of book where they tell us the minimum measurements of certain things.

I would also add subjects on landscaping and interior design to the study plan because I feel that it is just as important as the structure of the building we will design. 

Speaking of academic load, it is necessary to emphasize that many times the career does not allow us to have time for ourselves, many times we do not have time to eat, take a bath or get some air and forget about spending time with our family, all this because of all the work that we are sent from one day to another. Many of us spend more than 24 hours on the computer finishing an assignment and that is really exhausting both physically and mentally.

In our university we use a lot of technology which is quite good since it is what we will use the most in the work environment, although in the first year of our career they make us do everything by hand and that is something tedious but in a way it helps us a lot to loosen our hands. 

The University of Chile has very professional, dynamic, understanding and very empathetic teachers when it comes to correcting our work, although there are teachers who are definitely not prepared to be teachers, they are very cruel! 

In spite of everything I love my career!

My hobbie: Paint and Dance

 Since I was a child I was always into painting and dancing.  I attended rhythmic gymnastics classes at school for a year. Then I took ballet classes where I learned many dance techniques that have served me well to this day. Then in 2018 I enrolled in a dance academy where I spent 2 years, in these years I performed on stages and theaters dancing different styles, I had to withdraw from the academy because of the university, I no longer had the time. I would like to return someday to dance on stage. It is very entertaining and healthy :D And as for paiting, I never attender any drawing or paiting class, I only do it in my free time to relax or when a family member has a birthday, I make some kind of paiting of my own. It is something that I really like and I hope I can improve more and more. What hobbies do you have? :D   Here is a picture of me performing at the theater in Ovalle in 2019, it was for the anniversary of the academy where I danced for 2 years.

Why did you choose my major?

 Hi everyone, welcome to my second blog. This time I will tell you why I choose architecture as a career.  Since I was a child I never had a defined profession, I always had many options and very different from others. At one time I wanted to be a Doctor, at another time I wanted to be a singer or a dancer, I also liked to paint and do handicrafts, in short, I never made up my mind. When I started my last year of school, I had to think seriously about what I wanted for my future. I had many options, among them was medicine, nursing, art teacher, among others. I finally decided on architecture cause it has everything I love to do, drawing, making models, creating and designing spaces although it has math and I hate that a little bit haha, but it's not terrible at all :) My experience in the career so far has been fantastic, I have met many people, and I have even made new friends and even found a boyfriend haha, it has been a unique experience and it has definitely been the best dec

What country would you like to visit?

 I would  like to visit Mexico couse I feel that I have a certain closeness with his culture. My closeness started thanks my grandpa. He enojoys 'Rancheras'  and Mexican movies. When I was a child we used to listen to Vicente Fernandez , Antonio Aguilar, Pepe Aguilar and Alejandro Fernandez. Also in family trips we used to listen 'rancheras' to. I would to travel to know more about the Mexican culture, traditions and his typical food.  I don't know much about that country that because set of on a journey to Mexico. I would like to visit Ciudad de Mexico and see the independence angel and meet the beaches in especially Tulum Quintara Roo beach.  I would like to work a few years for gaining experience in the field of architecture.
